Leadership Development Strategy for Students at the KHAS Kempek Islamic Boarding School through Islamic Value-Based Training

Abstract

This study aims to explore the importance of Islamic values-based leadership training at the KHAS Kempek Islamic Boarding School and provide recommendations for its implementation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through interviews with students and boarding school administrators, as well as observations. The results indicate that Islamic values-based leadership training is essential to improve students' managerial skills, such as organizational management and decision-making, and to strengthen their character. Despite strong support for this training, the main challenges are limited resources and the need for competent instructors. Boarding school administrators recommend integrating this training into the formal curriculum and collaborating with external institutions to improve the quality of the training. This study provides recommendations for designing training that balances practical skills and Islamic values to prepare students as effective and character-based leaders in the future.
